How we will work together ...
Telephone or email me to ensure that I am available on the date you have selected for your wedding. We can discuss your requirements and if you would like, organise a mutually convenient time to meet.
This meeting will give you the opportunity to ask any questions and decide if I am the right celebrant for you. There is no obligation on your part to proceed at this stage. However, if you would like, we can start the legalities by completing a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) form and I would sight your birth certificates or passport (if born overseas), Photo ID, and Decree Absolute or Certificate of Divorce (if you have been previously married).
We will work together using the sample Wedding Ceremony Manual I can provide, to design a ceremony that is personal and perfect for you. This can also be developed via telephone or email.
Before your wedding day we need to meet again to finalise all details and so you can sign the statutory declaration which states that there is no legal impediment to your marriage. If you would like a rehearsal at your wedding venue or other location we can do this at the same time.
On Your Wedding Day
I will arrive at least 30 minutes before your ceremony to ensure that everything is prepared so you can be relaxed and confident knowing that all is in order. I will ensure that your wedding ceremony meets all your expectations.
I will present you with your Certificate of Marriage. This is not a proof of identity document but is evidence of your change in marital status.
Lodgement of Legal Documents on your behalf
After your ceremony I will finalise the legal process by lodging all necessary documents with the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
